Start your own online business, like start a blog or sell things online. It will give you experience and know how to do things. He started a blog when he was in school.

What do you look for people that intern with you or people that you hire?
Be good at what you do and try to come close to perfecting it and also be good at all things.
What was your blog that you did in school about?
A few years ago when he was still in school he was not sure what he wanted to do in school but he got into web design and he got the money to go through school was doing web design. Grapghicdesignblender.com is all about the business of design. He put him and his wife through school. If you are making a blog make sure your content is interesting and helpful. He did not make that much money off the blog for like the first 6-8 months when he started.
